Overview

Portable Lying Hyperbaric Chamber · 1.5 ATA

OxyRevo Apex32 1.5 ATA Portable Hyperbaric Chamber

The Apex32 is the 1.5 ATA model in OxyRevo's soft lying lineup. Its pressure adjustment converter can also set it to 1.4, 1.3 or 1.2 ATA with one press, so your first block of sessions can start lower and climb later. OxyRevo says it built the converter to ease ear pressure discomfort in those early sessions. The cabin measures 90 inches long and 32 inches in diameter (230 × 80 cm), matching the 1.4 ATA Elite32's footprint while weighing 4.4 lbs more.

Seven large double-layered windows sit in the top, sides and foot of the shell, two more than the Elite models have. OxyRevo says the extra glazing is for more light and a wider view. The shell is High Strength TPU with high-frequency heat-welded seams, and the full chamber weighs 33 lbs (15 kg). You can choose from four cover colors: black, blue, grey or white.

The Build

What Sets The Apex Apart, And What It Shares

Two of these explain why the Apex line exists: the pressure it reaches and how much of the shell is glazed. The other two are common to all OxyRevo soft chambers and are worth knowing before you compare brands.

1.5 ATA, Adjustable Down To 1.2
Working pressure peaks at 1.5 ATA, one step above the 1.4 ATA Elite chambers. With one press, a pressure adjustment converter sets the chamber to 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 or 1.5 ATA, so you pick the level for each session and can increase it as your ears adjust. OxyRevo says the converter is exclusive to its chambers.
1.2 / 1.3 / 1.4 / 1.5 ATA

Seven Windows, All Double-Layered
Seven large windows are placed on the top, sides and foot of the chamber, and each is double-layered. That is two more than the five on the Elite32 and Elite36. OxyRevo includes double-layered viewing windows in its safety specification for the soft range, along with emergency valves and pressure release valves inside and out.
7 Windows · Top, Sides, Foot

Curved Zipper And Gravity Sink
The zipper follows a curve, and a gravity sink keeps it clear of the sealing strips so the two surfaces do not rub as you get in and out. The seal strip is a customized medical-grade silicone. OxyRevo says the design makes opening and closing smoother and easier.
Medical-Grade Silicone Seal

Welded Seams And Laser-Marked Valves
The seams on the High Strength TPU shell are joined by high-frequency heat welding, with no glue or stitching at the joints. Valve labels are marked by UV laser. OxyRevo says both choices are about longevity: it argues that glued paper labels fade and peel over time, and it presents welded joints as more durable than sewn ones.

Inside The Apex32

A Detailed Look

How The Seven Windows Are Placed

Each side of the Apex32 has two long windows, with more panels in the top and at the foot end. That makes seven, all double-layered. Viewed from a three-quarter angle, most of what you see is clear panel along the length of the shell, with grey TPU in between. Window count is the most obvious physical difference between the Apex and Elite lines, and OxyRevo says it added the windows for light and a wide view.

  • 7 large double-layered windows
  • Set into the top, the sides and the foot
  • Two more windows than the Elite32 and Elite36
  • Double glazing is part of the soft range safety spec

From The Inside

What You See During A Session

For the hour you are inside, the view is the shell itself: 90 inches long, 32 inches in diameter, with seven double-layered windows breaking up the grey. You get in and out through the curved zipper, where a gravity sink keeps the zipper away from the customized medical-grade silicone seal strip. A second aviation-grade pressure gauge sits inside the cabin, so the reading you go by is right in front of you.

  • 90 in / 230 cm long, 32 in / 80 cm in diameter
  • Aviation-grade pressure gauge mounted inside the cabin
  • Curved zipper, gravity sink and medical-grade silicone seal
  • Black, blue, grey or white cover, with OEM colors available

Standard Or Pro

One Chamber, Two Ways To Power It

The chamber does not change between versions. The machinery next to it does. The Pro combines everything into one all-in-one unit measuring 27.56" L × 13.78" W × 29.53" H and weighing 80 kg, with one press activating every function. The Standard divides that work among three machines, each with its own setup and controls, and it costs less to buy and to ship. Both versions make oxygen continuously, so neither one involves an oxygen tank.

  • Pro: one air compressor, a 10L oxygen concentrator, 2 cooling machines, anion generator, timing alarm, oxygen meter, water container and air filters
  • Pro: double activated carbon filters and Nano Water Ion technology with an anti-virus system, which OxyRevo states has a 99% virus sterilization rate
  • Standard: air compressor AE01, air cooler ZLA01 and oxygen concentrator HG10, plus double filters on input and output
  • Both include an oxygen mask, spare filters, fuses, air and oxygen tubing and a power cable

Valves & Exit

Pressure Readings And A Quick Exit

The port and valves are located at the end of the chamber. Two aviation-grade pressure gauges are fitted, one inside and one outside, and OxyRevo says it doubled them so both readings match and no one acts on a number they cannot see. The automatic pressure relief valves spread airflow to reduce valve noise; OxyRevo developed them because those valves are what you hear when trying to sleep through a session. Emergency valves release pressure for a 30-second exit.

  • Emergency valves for a 30-second exit
  • Pressure release valves inside and outside
  • Two high-accuracy aviation-grade gauges, one in and one out
  • Pressure-deflating valves with UV laser labels
  • Sound level rated at 50 dB or less

The OxyRevo Soft Lying Lineup

Four Chambers Side By Side

Every soft lying chamber in the lineup has the 90-inch length, High Strength TPU shell, curved zipper and 50 dB sound rating. Pressure and diameter are what change. The Apex32 is the 1.5 ATA option in the narrower body.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The working pressure is 1.5 ATA. The pressure adjustment converter lets you set 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 or 1.5 ATA with a single press, so you can begin at a lower level and raise it over time. OxyRevo says the converter is there to ease the ear pressure discomfort some people feel in their first sessions, and calls the design exclusive to its chambers.
Pressure and glazing, in the same body. Both chambers are 90 inches long by 32 inches in diameter. The Apex32 reaches 1.5 ATA versus the Elite32's 1.4 ATA, and it has 7 double-layered windows compared with the Elite32's 5. The Apex32 weighs 33 lbs and the Elite32 weighs 28.6 lbs, so the difference is 4.4 lbs. The Apex32 also comes in four cover colors, while the Elite32 comes in grey.
Diameter and weight. The Apex36 keeps the 90-inch length but widens the diameter to 36 inches, and it weighs 37 lbs compared with 33 lbs. Both share the same working pressure (1.5 ATA) and window count (7). Go with the Apex36 for more shoulder room, and the Apex32 if the room it is going into is tight.
The chamber stays the same. What you choose is the machinery beside it. The Pro is a single all-in-one machine unit, 27.56" L × 13.78" W × 29.53" H and 80 kg, containing an air compressor, a 10L oxygen concentrator, two cooling machines, an anion generator, a timing alarm, an oxygen meter, a water container and air filters, with one-press activation for every function and double activated carbon filters. The Standard is three separate machines: air compressor AE01, air cooler ZLA01 and oxygen concentrator HG10. Each is set up and operated on its own, with double filters on input and output. The Standard costs less and is easier to transport.
Four: black, blue, grey and white, chosen at checkout. Grey is the standard cover color across OxyRevo's soft range, and OEM colors are available on request. Add-ons such as the red light panel, air conditioner, 20L concentrator, BIBS mask, entertainment system, working table and anti-static mat are sold separately; contact us for anything else.
When inflated, the chamber is 90 inches long and 32 inches in diameter (230 × 80 cm). Leave working room at the valve end for the operating unit and the air and oxygen tubing, and space along one side for getting in and out. The Pro unit needs a footprint of 27.56" × 13.78" and stands 29.53" tall; with the Standard version, each of the three machines needs its own spot. The chamber deflates after use and the body weighs 33 lbs, so the floor space is only in use during a session.
No. OxyRevo designs these chambers for owners to install themselves, and the Apex32 can be run from inside or outside the unit, with an aviation-grade pressure gauge and pressure release valves on both sides of the shell. Before you begin, we recommend talking to your physician, especially if you have any ear, sinus or lung condition.
A typical mild hyperbaric session lasts 60 to 90 minutes, 4 to 5 times a week. A common approach is a block of 40 sessions, followed by a week off before starting the next block.
That depends on the individual and is a question for your physician. As a general starting point for wellness use, plan for an initial block of 20 sessions and reassess afterward. Athlete Restore makes no claims about outcomes.
Your ears may feel a pressure change as the chamber pressurizes and depressurizes, much like a plane during takeoff or descent. Swallowing or yawning clears it, and ears commonly adjust after the first few sessions. On the Apex32, setting the converter to 1.2 or 1.3 ATA for your first block is one way to ease in. With a sound rating of 50 dB or less, reading, listening to something or resting are all good ways to spend the hour.
Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing.
Check with your physician before starting, especially if you have any ear, sinus or lung condition. As for the equipment: the chamber is pressurized with filtered air, a pressure valve and relief valves regulate internal pressure, and the chamber can be depressurized and opened from inside and outside. Emergency valves release pressure for a 30-second exit. Athlete Restore makes no claims about the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
That is a medical question, and your physician is the one to answer it. Athlete Restore makes no claims about hyperbaric oxygen therapy for any age group or condition. As for the equipment, the Apex32 holds one person lying down in a 32-inch diameter cabin, the converter sets the pressure level before the session begins, and the chamber can be depressurized and opened from the outside as well as the inside.
Yes. The curved zipper opens from either side, and you can depressurize the chamber from the inside as well as the outside. Emergency valves release pressure so you can exit in 30 seconds. Pressure release valves and pressure gauges come standard on both the inside and the outside.
Cooling and dehumidification are handled on the machine side. The Pro unit holds two cooling machines along with a water container; the Standard version includes the ZLA01 air cooler. OxyRevo describes the system as removing humidity from the air supplied to the chamber and cooling it. It runs on electricity and needs no ice water and no Freon. A realistic expectation: in a room with working air conditioning, the interior stays comfortable through a 60 to 90 minute session.
The chamber's sound rating is 50 dB or less. OxyRevo designed quiet automatic pressure relief valves for its soft chambers that spread airflow to lower valve noise, since those valves are what you notice when trying to sleep through a session. The compressor and oxygen concentrator stay outside the chamber, so you decide where they go in the room.
Glazing is the main reason to consider the Apex line. Seven large double-layered windows are set into the top, the sides and the foot, including two long windows along each side, and OxyRevo says it fitted that many for more light and a wider view. In the same 90" × 32" body, the Apex32 has two more windows than the Elite32. If lying down is what concerns you, OxyRevo's sitting chambers are a different format worth a look.
Because the oxygen concentrator makes oxygen continuously, there are no oxygen tanks to buy or refill. The only parts that need routine replacement are the compressor filters, every 6 to 12 months depending on use. Spare filters and fuses come with the chamber. Valve labels are UV laser marked, so you never need to relabel when paper stickers peel.
Typically about 3 weeks: roughly one week of production plus 7 to 10 days of shipping via FedEx Air. You get tracking when the order ships.
OxyRevo provides a 1-year commercial and 2-year home use warranty, plus lifetime technical support at no cost. If a quality issue comes up during the warranty period and can be repaired, OxyRevo sends replacement parts free and guides you through the repair step by step with photos and video. If it cannot be repaired, OxyRevo sends a new machine at no cost.
Standard Delivery drops the crated chamber at your location, and unloading, uncrating and moving it are up to you. White Glove Delivery & Chamber Education is a separate item you can add for full service: unloading, setup and cleanup are handled for you, and the team shows you how to operate the chamber. The chamber weighs just 33 lbs; the heavier piece to plan for is the operating unit, which weighs 80 kg in the Pro version.
