Overview

Wheelchair Access Soft Hyperbaric Chamber

OxyRevo Heal40 1.4 ATA Wheelchair Hyperbaric Chamber

Of all the chambers OxyRevo makes, the Heal40 is the only one a wheelchair can roll straight into. The other soft models have you lie flat or move onto a folding chair. This one is a tall, upright cabin measuring 67 inches long, 62 inches wide and 70 inches high when inflated, set on a sturdy aluminum base with a slope leading to the entrance. In OxyRevo's own words, it was built for people with wheelchairs to use HBOT in an easier way.

The working pressure is 1.4 ATA, and a one-press converter switches the chamber between 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 ATA. Four large double-layered windows let daylight into the cabin. At 95 lbs it is the heaviest soft chamber in the OxyRevo lineup, about three times what the lying models weigh, and the base and upright frame account for that. Users who do not need a wheelchair can sit on a regular chair inside. Choose a Black, Blue, Grey or White cover (OEM colors are available), and pick either the Pro all-in-one operating unit or the three-machine Standard set at checkout.

The Build

How An Upright Chamber Is Built Differently

A soft chamber that must hold its own shape and let a wheelchair cross its threshold needs a different build than one you lie in. On the Heal40, that comes down to four parts: the base under it, the zipper that opens it, the pressure converter and the gauges.

Aluminum Base With Entry Slope
A sturdy aluminum base carries the cabin, and a slope leads up to the entrance so a chair can be rolled in and back out. OxyRevo says the base exists for exactly that reason: easier entry and exit for wheelchair users. You can see the slope in the product photos on this page.
67" Γ— 62" Footprint

Curved Zipper And Gravity Sink
The zipper runs on a curve, and a gravity sink keeps the zipper track clear of the sealing strip so the two do not rub as it closes. The seal is a medical-grade silicone strip. When a caregiver opens and closes the chamber several times a day, how much effort that takes really matters.
Silicone Seal Strip

One Press From 1.2 To 1.4 ATA
A pressure adjustment converter switches the chamber between 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 ATA. OxyRevo says it is there for ear comfort in early sessions, so a user can begin at the lowest setting and step up as their ears adjust. OxyRevo describes the feature as exclusive to its chambers.
Three Pressure Steps

Gauges On Both Sides
Two aviation-grade pressure gauges, one inside and one outside, let the occupant and the attendant read the same number. The automatic pressure relief valves are designed to run quietly, and OxyRevo says they spread airflow evenly to keep noise low during a session.

Roll In. No Lifting, No Transfers.

No other OxyRevo soft chamber offers this. The photo shows the cabin open with a wheelchair parked inside on the entry slope. For a user with limited mobility, and for the person assisting them, it takes the transfer out of both ends of every session. OxyRevo does not publish a ramp weight rating, threshold clearance or maximum chair size, so neither do we. Send us your chair's dimensions and weight before you order, and we will get those figures from the factory in writing.

  • Cabin size: 67" long Γ— 62" wide Γ— 70" high (170 Γ— 160 Γ— 190 cm)
  • Sturdy aluminum base with an entry slope
  • Room for a regular chair if you prefer to sit without a wheelchair
  • Emergency valves let you exit the chamber in 30 seconds

The Cabin

Four Windows And Controls Within Reach Of The Seat

The cabin has four large double-layered windows, and OxyRevo says the generous glazing gives a wide, clear view and lets more light in. Inside, a second aviation-grade pressure gauge sits beside the occupant, and the pressure-deflating, pressure relief and emergency valves are fitted on both sides of the shell, so a session can be monitored and ended from the seat.

  • Four large double-layered windows
  • Pressure-deflating valves on the inside and outside
  • Emergency valves allow exit in 30 seconds
  • Pressure gauges and relief valves inside and out
  • UV laser-printed valve labels instead of paper stickers that peel

Built To Fit A Facility Hallway

In OxyRevo's facility photos, two Heal40 cabins stand next to each other in a corridor with staff and residents nearby. The format works there for practical reasons. Because it is upright, it uses 67 by 62 inches of floor, where the lying chambers need a 90-inch run. Residents stay in their own chairs for the whole session. And the rating of 50 dB or lower matters when the chamber sits where people pass by. Air purification belongs to the Pro unit: the anion generator, double activated carbon filters and Nano Water Ion anti-virus system all come with the all-in-one machine.

  • 67" Γ— 62" upright footprint per chamber
  • Rated at ≀50 dB
  • Pro all-in-one unit includes an anion generator; Standard is three machines: AE01, ZLA01 and HG10
  • Black, Blue, Grey or White covers, with OEM colors available

Pro Or Standard

One Cabinet Or Three Separate Machines

Both versions use the same chamber. Only the equipment that runs it differs. The Pro version is one all-in-one unit measuring 27.56" long, 13.78" wide and 29.53" high and weighing 80 kg. It holds an air compressor, a 10L oxygen concentrator, two cooling machines, an anion generator, a timing alarm, an oxygen meter, a water container and the air filters, and every function starts with one press. The Standard version divides that work among three machines, the AE01 air compressor, the ZLA01 air cooler and the HG10 oxygen concentrator, each set up and switched on separately. OxyRevo calls the Pro cooling and dehumidifying system the stronger of the two. Both run on electricity with no ice water or Freon involved, and in a room with working air conditioning the interior stays comfortable.

  • Pro: a single unit, one press, double activated carbon filters
  • Pro: Nano Water Ion technology and an anti-virus system, rated by OxyRevo at a 99% virus sterilization rate
  • Standard: three separate machines with double filters on input and output
  • Standard: costs less and weighs less to ship
  • Both: oxygen is produced continuously, so there are no tanks to buy or refill

The OxyRevo Soft Chamber Range

Lie Down, Roll In, Or Sit Up

Every OxyRevo soft chamber is made of High Strength TPU, runs on filtered air, and shares the same warranty and the same choice of Pro or Standard operating unit. What sets them apart is the position you hold for 60 to 90 minutes and how you get into it. The Heal40 sits in the middle: you arrive in your wheelchair and stay seated in it.

Questions

Common Questions

In OxyRevo's words, it is designed for people with wheelchairs to use HBOT in an easier way. The upright cabin has an aluminum base and an entry slope, so a chair can be rolled inside. That puts it at the top of the list when the user has limited mobility, when a caregiver runs the sessions, or when a clinic needs one chamber that serves both seated and wheelchair users. It works just as well for anyone who can sit in an ordinary chair.
The cabin rests on a sturdy aluminum base with a slope leading to the entrance, and the curved zipper opens up the front. Both are visible in the product photos on this page, including one of a wheelchair parked inside on the slope. What we will not do is make up figures: we do not publish a ramp weight capacity, entry clearance width or maximum wheelchair size, since OxyRevo does not publish them either. Send us the make, dimensions and loaded weight of your chair before ordering, and we will get confirmation from the factory.
Yes. According to OxyRevo, a regular chair can go inside so you can sit comfortably. The published figures are 70 inches of overall inflated height on a 67 by 62 inch floor. OxyRevo does not publish an interior height, so we do not give one.
No, and we want to be upfront about that. Athlete Restore makes no ADA compliance claim for the Heal40, and neither we nor OxyRevo claim it is medically indicated for any condition. It is sold as wellness equipment with a wheelchair-accessible design. Check with your physician before starting hyperbaric sessions, especially if you have any ear, sinus or lung condition.
When inflated, the chamber measures 67 inches long, 62 inches wide and 70 inches high (170 Γ— 160 Γ— 190 cm). Leave clear floor in front of the entrance for the slope and approach, plus space beside the chamber for the operating unit. The Pro all-in-one unit measures 27.56" long, 13.78" wide and 29.53" high, while the Standard version needs room for three separate machines.
The chamber weighs 95 lbs (43 kg), the most of any OxyRevo soft chamber. By comparison, the Elite32 weighs 28.6 lbs and the Forward90 weighs 30 lbs, with the aluminum base and upright frame making up the difference. It packs down and can be moved, but plan on two people for the job and expect to set it up in one spot.
The working pressure is 1.4 ATA. With one press, a pressure adjustment converter switches the chamber to 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4 ATA. OxyRevo says it is included for ear comfort in early sessions, so a new user can begin at 1.2 and step up. The chamber is pressurized with filtered air.
The chamber is the same in both. The equipment that runs it differs. The Pro version is a single All-in-One Machine Unit, 27.56"L Γ— 13.78"W Γ— 29.53"H and 80 kg, housing an air compressor, a 10L oxygen concentrator, two cooling machines, an anion generator, a timing alarm, an oxygen meter, a water container and air filters. Every function starts with one press, and it uses double activated carbon filters. The Standard version uses three separate machines, the AE01 air compressor, the ZLA01 air cooler and the HG10 oxygen concentrator, each set up and run on its own, with double filters on input and output. Standard is the lower-cost option and the lighter shipment.
Either way, cooling comes with the chamber. The Pro all-in-one unit contains two cooling machines and a water container, while the Standard set comes with the ZLA01 air cooler and a humidity water container. OxyRevo calls both dehumidifying and cooling systems, and rates the Pro unit as the stronger one. It runs on electricity, with no ice water and no Freon involved. In practice, a room with working air conditioning keeps the interior comfortable, and we would not plan long summer sessions in a room without it.
The sound level is rated at 50 dB or under. OxyRevo also designs the automatic pressure relief valves to run quietly, saying they distribute airflow evenly to reduce valve noise, with people who want to rest or sleep during a session in mind.
No. OxyRevo designs these chambers to be installed by the owner, and the Heal40 can be run from inside or outside the cabin, with an aviation-grade pressure gauge and pressure relief valves on each side of the shell. That is especially useful here: a caregiver can manage the session from outside while the user stays seated, or the user can manage it alone. Whether hyperbaric sessions suit you is a separate matter, and one to raise with your physician.
A typical mild hyperbaric session lasts 60 to 90 minutes, 4 to 5 times a week. A common approach is a block of 40 sessions followed by a week off before starting the next. During a session, people read, listen to music, watch something or rest.
It differs from person to person, and your physician is the right one to ask. As a general wellness starting point, plan on an initial block of 20 sessions and then reassess. Athlete Restore makes no claims about outcomes from hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
You may feel a pressure change in the ears while the chamber pressurizes and depressurizes, much like a plane's takeoff or descent. Swallowing or yawning clears it, and ears usually adapt within the first few sessions. That is also why the converter lets you start at 1.2 ATA.
Anything loose and comfortable.
Check with your physician before starting, especially if you have any ear, sinus or lung condition. As for the equipment, the chamber is pressurized with filtered air, the pressure valve and relief valves regulate internal pressure, and the chamber can be depressurized and opened from inside and outside. Emergency valves allow exit in 30 seconds. High-precision gauges on both sides of the shell show the pressure, and the windows are double-layered.
Whether a child should use a hyperbaric chamber is for their physician to decide, and in every case an adult should run and supervise the session. We do not make claims about hyperbaric oxygen therapy for children or for any condition, and we will not pass along any we cannot stand behind. What we can describe is the equipment: the cabin is 70 inches high with four large double-layered windows, it opens from outside as well as inside, and the windows give a caregiver a clear view of the seat throughout the session.
Because the oxygen concentrator makes oxygen continuously, there are no oxygen tanks to buy or refill. Compressor filters are the only parts that need routine replacement, every 6 to 12 months based on use. Spare filters and fuses come with the chamber.
Typically about 3 weeks. That covers roughly one week for production and 7 to 10 days of FedEx Air shipping, with tracking sent when your order ships.
You get a 1-year commercial and 2-year home use warranty, along with lifetime technical support at no charge. If a quality issue comes up during the warranty period and it can be repaired, OxyRevo sends replacement parts free and walks you through the repair with photos and video. If it cannot be repaired, they send a new machine at no cost.
Standard Delivery drops the crated chamber at your location, and unloading, uncrating and moving it are up to you. White Glove Delivery & Chamber Education is a separate item you can add to your order: unloading, setup and cleanup are handled for you, and the team shows you how to operate the chamber. For a 95 lb chamber headed to a home where mobility is the reason for buying it, it is worth adding.
Choose from four covers at checkout: Black, Blue, Grey and White. Grey is the standard cover, and OEM colors are available for facilities that want the chamber to match their own look.
