FSA/HSA

Here's your "FSA/HSA" page description:

Use Your FSA/HSA on Recovery

Did you know that many athletic recovery products may be eligible for purchase using your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)? That means the money you've already set aside for health expenses could go toward the recovery tools your body needs — often tax-free.

What Are FSA & HSA Accounts?

If you're not familiar, here's a quick breakdown:

A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an employer-sponsored benefit that lets you set aside pre-tax dollars for qualified medical expenses. FSA funds typically must be used within the plan year or you risk losing them — so it pays to spend them wisely.

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a tax-advantaged account available to individuals with a high-deductible health plan (HDHP). Unlike an FSA, HSA funds roll over year to year, meaning there's no rush — but there's also no reason to wait on investing in your recovery.

What Recovery Products May Qualify?

While eligibility can vary depending on your specific plan and provider, many common recovery products fall under qualifying medical expenses. Items that are frequently FSA/HSA eligible include:

Percussion and massage therapy devices, compression therapy equipment, hot and cold therapy products, TENS units and electrotherapy devices, orthopedic supports and braces, and certain mobility and rehabilitation tools.

Many of the products we carry at Athlete Restore fall into these categories, which means your benefits could help cover the cost of your recovery routine.

How to Use Your FSA/HSA Benefits

The process is simpler than most people think. Start by checking with your FSA or HSA provider to confirm which product categories are covered under your specific plan. Some plans may require a letter of medical necessity (LMN) from your healthcare provider, so it's worth asking upfront. Once you know what's eligible, simply use your FSA/HSA debit card at checkout or submit a receipt to your provider for reimbursement.

Don't Let Your Benefits Go to Waste

Every year, millions of dollars in FSA funds expire unused. If you've been sitting on leftover benefits, recovery products are one of the smartest ways to put that money to work. Instead of losing it, invest it in your body.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

FSA/HSA eligibility is ultimately determined by your plan administrator, not by Athlete Restore. We always recommend confirming eligibility with your provider before purchasing. Product eligibility can vary by plan, and requirements like a letter of medical necessity may apply in some cases.

We're actively working to make the FSA/HSA purchasing experience even smoother for our customers, so stay tuned for updates.
